MEC Lehari's Message of Condolences to Family of Slain Reverend Hollanders



Community Safety and Transport Management MEC, Mr. Sello Lehari has learnt of an alleged brutal killing of an 83 years Reverend Joseph Hollanders, whose lifeless body was found at his mission house on Monday, 13 January 2020 in Bodibe Village.

He was discovered by a community member who immediately alerted the police.

Whilst the motive for this heinous criminal act is yet to be established at this stage, reports have pointed to the fact that the victim’s body, hands and feet were seemingly tied-up.

"I call upon the Police to speedily conduct a post mortem to determine the cause of death. Whoever is the perpetrator of this despicable crime against this 'man of the cloth' must just come forward and confess as the Police will leave no stone unturned in their manhunt. In the same breadth, the community is urged to come forward with information that will assist to expedite the police to conclude the investigations and effect arrest of the heartless murderer." Said a distraught MEC Lehari.

Meanwhile MEC Lehari send his heartfelt condolences to the family of the bereaved Reverend Hollanders and the Church members he was ministering.

"I am so disturbed to hear of this sad news, The Reverend is a great loss to you, me, elderly people, children, youth and the entire society. My sympathies goes, particularly, to the Hollanders family, the churches, the community of Bodibe and surrounding villages as well as the society in general. This is shameful but will be attended to by the full might of the law". Concluded MEC Lehari.
